HOW ESTABLISHED ARE YOU? Andy Hollifield 1-14-18
Establish—-(1) to found, institute, build, or bring into being on a firm or stable basis (2) to install or settle in a position, place, business, etc.. (3) to show to be valid or true; prove (4) to cause to be accepted or recognized (5) to bring about permanently (6) to enact, appoint, or ordain for permanence, as a law; fix unalterably
Deuteronomy 32:6 Do ye thus requite the Lord, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy Father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
Psalms 40:1-2 (1) [[To the chief Musician, a Psalm of David.]] I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. (2) He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Proverbs 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
2 Thessalonians 2:17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
Did you read that definition real close? Jesus founded me or as the psalmist said in Psalms 139:14 “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” He brought me into being and set my feet upon a solid rock and established my goings. He saved me and gave me a place in heaven where I will be settling down with the saints in his presence in the near future. He made me valid and true when he applied his blood to my soul and caused me to be accepted by his Father. I am now recognized as part of his bride and therefore recognized by his Father as one of his sons. When I accepted his Son, he gave me power to become one of the sons of God, because I believed on his name (John 1:12). It’s not a temporary admittance into the family of God but permanent because I was born again by the precious blood of his Son. He set me an appointment to die and then to be judged. But even when I am judged, that salvation he gave me he fixed unalterably, it can’t be changed. I am glad that my birth can’t be undone!
That’s a real definition ain’t it? It gets you a little excited about being one of his children doesn’t it? Just to think that he made that search in Revelation 5, in the earth and in heaven and beneath the earth for the supreme sacrifice for my sins that I might be made unblameable in holiness in my heart before God so that I would be accepted of him (1 Thessalonians 3:13). Talk about a price that was paid and somebody short-changing themselves on a trade, God did! He traded me forgiveness and salvation for all the sins I have or ever will commit. He traded his perfect Son Jesus for a rotten sinner like me just because he loves me. Not only that, he then established my heart to want to do good works for him. And it is all free! That’s right…FREE! How different my life would have been if he hadn’t established my heart in his righteousness. He has established my ways, my thoughts, and like the apostle Paul said in Acts 17:28, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being;… Established!
I have seen signs on businesses, schools, churches, and homes that said “Established in____” whatever year. I am glad to say that I was “established” on October 2nd, 1973. That is the date that business picked up in my soul when I sold my business out to him. No one sells out their business in order to lose. They sell out because it is more beneficial for them to sell rather than keep their business. I just traded my failing business for his perfect and supreme monopoly. Oh yeah; he has a monopoly. There is no one else that can forgive sin and order a man’s footsteps, only the Lord. Business has been wonderful since that night. Since he took over my soul, I have never suffered loss because of a bad decision on his part. I have only suffered loss when I failed to follow his executive decisions in my life. A lot of business CEO’s would have got rid of a business like me but instead he still loved me anyway. He forgave me and also gave me everything I have ever needed to keep going. What a wonderful boss he has turned out to be. When I surrendered to his offer and he took over the business of my soul, and established me as his, little did I know that I had just got in on the little end of something big. My business was destined for failure and heartache but his business is the only one of its kind in the world. It wasn’t a merger that night; it was a complete buyout from him and what he got was way over-valued and barely worth having, not really even fit to kill. He could have done a lot better than me but I could never do any better than him. He knew that if he didn’t buy out my soul on Calvary’s hill, that I would lose everything with no hope of recovering all my losses. I am glad that when he took over, he re-branded me and just made a new creature out of me so I would look more like him. He also gave me a new name that only he and I will know. He knows it already but it won’t be revealed to me until I get to that new home that he threw in and went to build me as part of the buyout. When he gets my new place finished, he will come back and get me. He is not going to send anyone but has promised to come himself. If he comes to get me early, he will send his death angel to escort me out of this life and into the next (John 14:2-3). Most business deals and buyouts do not create this kind of gain but I am now set for life and beyond. I am glad that when he established me; everything changed. What a deal I got when he bought me out and established me as part of his family. The sorry person that I was destined to be was forever gone when he bought out my soul. I was way over-priced. I wasn’t worth his blood, sweat, and tears, that it took to purchase me. I am glad that I met my match and then some one day, and when he enters into negotiations, he don’t quit until he seals the deal unless someone just refuses to sell out to him. At some point, he will break off negotiations and withdraw his offer and let that persons business that they refused to sell out to him eventually just go up in flames forever.
Well, I guess I got kind of carried away but I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of how good of a deal I got when I sold out to him. I am sure he will offer to buy out each of you and your business because he said he would purchase anyone that would come to him. Don’t wait until he withdraws his offer because it will be too late then. It truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Don’t get left out. By the way; you will know him when he comes by. He is a meek man who has some pretty severe scars from a terrible injustice he suffered through years ago. He always talks in a still small voice; and you can’t help but like him. He is always looking to buy out and takeover and establish anyone’s business that will sell to him. He always includes that brand new home with every buyout he does. I don’t know how he figures that the stuff he buys out is even worthwhile because he always comes out on the short end of the deal. He is obviously prosperous though because he has a golden street in his place and that’s probably the cheapest thing there. The most prized possessions in his home are the multitudes of trophies of his grace that are there and adding more everyday. I could go on and on about how good my business has become since I sold out to him. The benefit package that he offers is out of this world. He will keep you up your whole life and when you retire you will become part of a waterfront community on the banks of the River of Life that runs through his place. Don’t miss out! Have a blessed day in the Lord!!!
